Special Tips & Policies About Appointments
*Number of Appointments Per Day. You may make two 30-minute appointments or sixty-minute appointment per day with one tutor. However, please do not make two different appointments with two different tutors about the same assignment on the same day. You may make multiple appointments per week, if needed, but you are limited to 8/week. We suggest you use one-hour appointments only if you meet one of the critera below:
::English is not your first language;
::You self-identify as having a learning disability (you can inform Prof. Moore);
::Your draft is longer than 8 pages long or you need extensive assistance on a research paper more than 5 pages long.
To make a one-hour appointment, simply extend the default appointment time on your pop-up form by half an hour when you make your appointment. Just be sure your same tutor works that extended time before doing so.
*Waiting List. When the writing center's schedule is full, you can sign up for our waiting list by clicking on "Waiting List" beneath the weekday you want an appointment on. Fill out the pop-up form and click on "Join the Waiting List."
*No Shows. Manage your own appointments well. You should not make more appointments than you need because we're trying to remain accessible to all Taylor University students every day. For that reason, be sure to delete any appointment from the schedule you can't show up for. If you miss three appointments at the writing center, your account will be disabled, and you will not be able to access our services until the following semester.
